oUr approach
Learning-based
Learning is part of our therapy process. We help bridge the gap between skills required for school and your child’s readiness. For example, difficulties in areas such as fine motor and visual motor may lead to difficulties with completing school tasks such as handwriting. At Beyond OT, we recognize the holistic aspect of learning and go beyond school skills & readiness to also address areas such as, executive functioning skills, cognitive skills, psychosocial skills, emotional/behavioral skills, and more!
Play-based
Play is the primary occupation of a child. At Beyond OT, we utilize play-based techniques and interventions to promote healthy development.
client-based
At Beyond OT, we use a client-centered and family approach. An initial screening or evaluation is conducted alongside a family interview. Therapy goals are based on evaluation data in addition to family concerns and needs. At Beyond OT, the family is always part of our therapeutic process!
We follow a neurodiversity affirming approach-focused on the strengths of our clients and building a therapeutic connection.
